Enyimba’s dazzling winger, Clinton Jephtah has been included in the Flying Eagles final squad to the WAFU B U20 Championship which will kickoff on Thursday in Lome, Togo.

In a list released on Tuesday after by the Nigeria Football Federation, Clinton joins other five forwards in attack. Interestingly, he is the only NPFL player in the attack, while other five players are from various Academies.

He returned from the camp in Ikenne, alongside Daniel Daga to play against Katsina United in Aba, getting two assists on the day; to Kalu Nweke and Ifeanyi Ihemekwele.

His teammate Daniel Daga did not make the team despite being in camp with the team and one of Aliyu Zubairu’s favourite midfielders. His passport is currently at the Norwegian Embassy for a possible move to Europe in January. His inability to retrieve the passport made it impossible to include him in the team. He was in Ladan Bosso’s team which qualified and played in the last World Cup and also at the African Games.

The WAFU B U20 Championship serves as a qualifying tournament to next Year’s Africa U20 Cup of Nations, which in turn is the qualifying tournament for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

Jephtah would probably be in the starting 11 when Zubairu’s boys file out against Burkina Faso on Friday.
