Good morning All,
I hope you’re doing well this morning. I hope you are healthy and strong and your heart firmly energized towards your goals and dreams regardless of the current prevalent Economic temperature in the country. It’s been a tough year but look at us, we are in the last lap of the year and for that we can only be grateful.
Speaking of dreams, I did round off last night’s sleep with one. How much do you believe in dreams? The more spiritual ones among us place alot of emphasis on dreams and how certain actions or activities in dreams could spell cause for alarm and concern. For instance, most people believe if you saw yourself eating in the dream, then you need some kind of spiritual cleansing.
While that may not mean much to some, some other dreams like seeing a loved one die or seeing a dead relative in the dream may invoke stronger response from the dreamer or those he shared the dream with. For such, the usual counter response is to “pray and cancel” such dreams to prevent it from happening. Same could be said of things like sexual/sensual experiences in dreams.
How about dreams borne out of anxiety of a football match? Have you ever wanted Enyimba to win a football match so badly, that you dreamt of it? For me? Honestly, not alot. I do recall the 2015 season that we needed to beat Warriors to pip Warri Wolves to the title. I dreamt we lost 2-0 in that crunch tie. But Mfon Udoh had a different plan in the real world – he fired us past Warriors and we literally eased past Wolves to win the title.
So where am I driving at this morning? Well, last night I dreamt that I was getting ready for a wedding. It was Chinatụ Jon’s wedding. Then suddenly it was a “double header” wedding. It was his wedding and it was my wedding too. (Weird cos bro I’ve been married since 2018 and Is Mr. Jon getting married and he hasn’t informed me?)
Anyway we were suited up and heading to the church and the car we were going in was so small that I couldn’t fit in the front seat. Someone told me not to worry that the church isn’t that far away. Grudgingly i agreed to it and we got on our way. I think that was all I saw in the dream – I mean I didn’t even get a chance to see the lady I was going to be wedded to. Nor did I see Chinatu’s wife but at least we got to the church- should be a good thing, yea?
I’m sure you like me have come to the conclusion that this dream like most are just meaningless. Some aren’t. I agree. But I think most are. Does God talk to us through dreams? I think He can. But how do you know when he’s talking? How do you even distinguish which dreams are from him? Well, that’s your homework.
From an Enyimba perspective, there isnt really alot to write about aside that our forthcoming lineup of fixtures just got a dream start as we won’t be playing Sunshine this Sunday. That fixture has been postponed as has Kano Pillars after it. What this means is that we have a little more room to focus on Al Masry next midweek. We should sort out our travel and all that in time for that crunch tie. I wasn’t expecting this but this is most welcome.
That’s your lunch for today. Back tomorrow with less dreamy stuff.
