Enyimba FC’s quest for victory was thwarted by a resilient Remo Stars side as their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Match Day 11 clash ended in a gripping 0-0 stalemate at the Enyimba International Stadium.

The Peoples’ Elephant dominated possession throughout, but Remo Stars’ stubborn defense and exceptional goalkeeping from Kayode Bankole denied them the elusive winner. Enyimba’s Ani Ozoemena also produced a breathtaking double save in the 59th minute to keep the scoreline intact.

Despite seven minutes of additional time, neither team could find the back of the net, leaving Remo Stars atop the NPFL table with 22 points and Enyimba sitting third with 19.

Enyimba coach Yemi Olanrewaju Daniel expressed mixed emotions, saying, “While I’m disappointed we couldn’t break the Remo Stars jinx, I’m proud of our tactical performance. We’ll regroup and focus on the next challenge.”

An Abia Derby against Warriors is that next challenge.
